About 20 years ago, I acquired some chickens live from the live poultry butcher store. You can imagine every king of bad virus, bacteria may have been present there. The chicken did develop a similar gangrene over their eyes as you posted. I chose to treat the chicken with good nutrition, and vitamins. My idea of good nutrition at that time, was anything chicken would readily eat. I cooked up Ramen Noodles, but did crack the dry noodles into small pieces before cooking. Into the warm noodles and water, I cracked up 1/2 of a people's One A Day Vitamin. It was without IRON BTW. I also did not add the Ramen Flavor Packet. After about 1 week, chicken's eye recovered and cleared up. I did same for another chicken I acquired some time afterwards. She developed same symptoms. Cure worked same for her as well.
The warm noodles are a fav of chickens as a treat, so maybe you can give your hen some, to encourage eating. I also think your treatment with ANTIBIOTICS, is the right thing to do. I did not have access to any antibiotics when I had the hen's issues.
