We have a Silver Speckled Hamburg, she is about 18 weeks old. Her one eye is slightly swollen and shut most of the time. She will open it a little bit, but mainly keeps it closed. Her appetite and water intake are fine. She normally won't get to close to us, but since I noticed her eye she is coming closer to me and letting me pet her. I don't know if she scratched her eye on the ground, got jumped on, pecked or is something is wrong with her???? Some insight would be appreciated. I tried to get a picture, but it turned out a bit blurry. I can try to get another picture in the morning, if that is helpful.
What are your thoughts? Is there anything else I should look at on her?
All other chickens are fine.

Thank you!

Look inside the eye to see if you notice any dirt or something that is irritating the eye. Look for any bubbles or foam, or milky pus. Apply some plain antibiotic ointment to the eye twice a day. Saline may be used to clean the eye or flush it. Pictures might be helpful. Also look for other possible signs of a respiratory disease such as clear nasal drainage, sneeze, rattly breathing, or gasping.
