eye stuck shut

A friend of mine has two birds with one eye stuck shut. it's full of milky liquid that seems to be gluing it shut. if i open the eye it runs out. what could this be? what to do?

Some kind of eye infection. I would say keep it clean with a flush of saline and then a smear of Terramycin eye ointment. If 2 of them are exhibiting the same symptons, one should see a vet to protect the rest of the flock.

Thanks. he put Terramycin in their water. one is better already.
