Yep, I got one.. And she/ or he is in jail now

It's driving me nuts..because..I will wait a few days and then add eyeball poking maniac back in..and the second I do it runs right into the face of another..and poke poke to the eye like woody woodpecker on speed, then runs to the next one..and so on...problem no one fights back..I am like come on theirs 10 of u, just crack him/ her back and maybe it will stop.

After about 2 minutes, I pick back up and place in jail..jail is just a divider of hardware cloth so their all in the same box still.

But the chirping because he/she can be with others is driving me to the looney bend...

This started when poker turned 3 days old. I know eyeballs are shiny..but this is weird..because the minute you put it in with the others..it runs to others faces, on purpose..and directly looks for the eyes, not as if it happened to see an eye..but iam telling u..goes to look for the eyes

They must all be at least 10 days old now..

Will this stop..or is poker got some serious issues?

Xoxoxo

Got them under a heat lamp? Is it a red bulb or white? Some chicks just seem to be hyperactive, like some human kids.

I have a silver sebright who is an occasional eye pecker...the bulb is red, heat is good...I think they get OCD or something...
The situation isn't funny, but your post was

thanks.. hehhehee

I heard from others..that one that intentional pokes like this.. can absolutely cause another chick to go blind..

the weirdest part is.. watching poker do it, and no one moves.. oh they blink.. or put their head down.. but that doesnt stop poker... soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... its true.. crack that wild poker poking fool in half.. and maybe.. just maybe it will learn, mmmn.. not such a good idea.. BUT THEY DO NOTHINg...lol

One of my porcelian d'uccles was like that....I had a white light...switched to red, didn't 100% stop but it helped. I then started adding things that would be more interesting, that seamed to do the trick, the lil bugger stopped pecking eyeballs.

Does Poker have a place to snuggle in his/her jail?? Like a feather duster or a fuzzy stuft animal to cozy up too?? Maybe put a mirror in the jail w/ Poker too so it can peck the mirror instead of its brooder mates? I hope that helps w/ the relentless chirping!

Peck the mirror.. thinking its .. its own eyes.. LMAO/ great idea

yes.. everyone.. its a red light..

and yes.. it has stuffed animal in there..

its pretty quiet during the day.. but oh my goish.. at night.. and a couple of the chicks.. actually lay right up agaisnt the hardware cloth.. so its almost like they are still touching.. but it just.. YAPS..YAPS.. YAPSS..

I think its saying.. let me out.. let me out.. I GOT EYEBALLS.. TO POKE.. LET ME OUT.. LET ME OUT..
