I have 7 silkie chicks. Five are white and about 3weeks old. Two are blue and maybe 1 week old. The two little blue peeps have their eyes shut alot or maybe just one is open. Can anyone tell me what's wrong? I've had about 30 banty chicks hatch so far this spring and their eyes were open when they hatched. Oh, by the way, I bought these silkies at an auction. They all are healthy looking, even the two little ones.

Was there a picture with your post?

I'm not sure what to say on this one....I've rasied silkies and they didn't sit around with their eyes closed more than other chicks, but chicks do sleep a lot...

Are there any other symptoms? Sitting fluffed up, still with eyes closed can be a sign of some sort of overall lethargy or illness...
