Gettin real sick and tired of this covid garbage. My state doesnt require face coverings but if you want to go in ANY store you have to wear one. I wonder though if perhaps they can require that you wear one but not how you wear one. I've tried googling it but it just comes up with more political agenda. I'm interested to hear everyone elses opinions. Itd be nice if any one is a lawyer that could fill us in on what the actual legal requirements state here.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Benjamin Franklin

nose and mouth have to be covered for the mask to be effective. I wear mine in public and stay away from those who don't. I don't patronize businesses that don't enforce masks for all customers and employees.
I wore a mask before people started requiring them. I didnt see it as a sense of duty or necessity. I have even made masks for people that needed them. But to be required to wear a mask...that is what is bothersome to me. I wear one because if I clear my throat or sneeze I dont want people staring daggers at me. Also a lot of people I see wearing them are not covering their nose...which makes it 80 percent ineffective. I guess I just dont see the point anymore

I'm not a lawyer. But I feel like a sane person that got locked up in the insane asylum anymore.
A lot of special interest groups have been pushing stores to go 100% masks. Teacher's unions or groups have been sending letters to businesses telling them to enforce mask wearing. Why? They aren't doctors.
They say they care about kids but most of them don't.

You could get away with wearing a gator neck. Saw someone covering their face with a tissue once 😂
Here it is mandatory but it's not really being inforced by the police. Up north you'll get arrested.
Some small business owners don't care, some will kick you out. In larger places like Walmart or Publix if you don't wear one you probably won't be able to get your stuff that you wanted to buy.
Honestly though I think its kinda getting in the way of our rights as Americans. I don't like that the government has so much control over us. And, it does go against out rights. I'll have to do more research to know exactly how though.
Also, under the ADA, an employer may not ask about the existence, nature, or severity of a disability and may not conduct a medical examination until after the employer has made the applicant a conditional job offer.
Which also means that if you can't wear a mask due to, say, a lung issue. Masks restrict good breathing and fresh air. But, so many people just don't even know about this that it doesn't matter. You'll get kicked out anyways. This is the stuff that should be talked about in shcool. But it's not, for this exact reason.

In the beginning, before anyone knew much about the virus my dad would just go out with a face mask and gloves. Now, I think it would be like getting a bad cold for the average healthy person. If an older person were to get it they may pass. But, the same would have probably happened were they to get a cold. They could have passed the next year.
When you wear a face mask, you aren't getting fresh air which is a necessity. You're just breathing in the same air which is not good.
I hope this didn't get to political...

My personal feeling is that if you're sick: STAY HOME. If you are worried you might be sick: STAY HOME. If you're not wearing the mask effectively you are going to spread the disease anyway.

Id rather it not get too political but I'm glad you bring up the ADA. When they started mandating a limit on occupancy I pretty much had an employee shove me and tell me to use the other door so we could be counted. I just tucked my head and did as I was told. But now I'm mad as heck and I cant take it anymore. There is nothing wrong with civil disobedience and I emphasize the word CIVIL. I know businesses reserve the right to refuse service to anyone as long as they are not discriminating against them. Id just like to be like "look, I'm wearing the mask. Nobody said it had to cover my mouth and nose"

no shoes no shirt no service doesn’t get the sass this does.

maybe it’s cause I come from the land where the air hurts my face for months if the year so even as a kid I would be scarved up as to not lose my nose to frostbite. No lasting damage.
