This article says that a woman hatched duck eggs from a store. Is this real or fake? I feel like the eggs were refrigerated and the duck in the middle of the picture of the supposed results isn't the same breed

I think it's real. Think about it. If a hen lays an egg in the spring, the temperature can drop overnight into the high forties. I have had hens hatch batches of eggs in March and April, and sometimes in late fall.

The real miracle, in my opinion, is just what she stated in the article, the eggs hatching after all the jostling during shipping and shopping.

They are most likely some sort of white layer breed. Better egg production for market.

The one in the middle appears to have a much smaller beak than the other two. But I know nothing of ducks except that they quack.
