fact or fiction....?

heres some pics for what its worth.

the shorter single length (cockerel)feathers are on the chick on the left (the one w/the little white speck) while the one on the right has the longer 2-length ones (pullet)

you can see the pullet has wing feathers that reach all the way to her butt while the cockerel has little stubs of feathers on the wing that barely reach the thigh.
