I just had a failed hatched of a clutch of guinea fowl eggs. I did an eggtopsy (breaking them into my compost bin) after the expected hatched day but not a single one developed. Granted I did not candle them this batch so my fault for not removing the duds. and they were collected over the course of two weeks (i know a week is the standard but I have a 120 incubator, and it felt wasteful to put only a weeks worth of eggs) and put in at once with said duck eggs. I expected to have a low hatch rate but not nothing. The ducklings had a 50% hatch rate.
I have 2 roo gf one 2 years old and one 1yr old and two hens one 2yr old and one 1 yr old.
Any ideas why. last yr wasn't great either. I only had one chick hatch and many failed to hatch that developed.
