Failure to thrive?

Super green chicken mama here. We purchased 6 golden comets babes 3 weeks ago from TSC. All but one is feathered out. She is still a foof with scraggly wing feathers. She eats and drinks and poops just fine, clean bottom and interacts but sits a lot and stays longer under the heat lamp daily. Is she just a late bloomer or is there something I can do to help her?

Yes, I believe you're correct on this being FTT. These chicks hatch with under developed bodily functions. They need extra protein to catch up. Boiled egg, crumbled tofu, strained baby meat, etc. can be fed along with the regular chick starter.

Thank you! I've gone back and forth between letting nature be or intervening. I'll absolutely try some extra protein for her 😊
