fair price for sebastopol goslings

I have an opportunity to buy an unrelated pair of week old white Sebastopol goslings, and I'm just wondering what a fair price is for them. They are from a very well respected breeder and I was told they are from excellent bloodlines. Thanks for any input.

Most hatcheries that sell them price them at $40-$50 dollars. I haven't seen them for less anywhere.

A breeder in IA is selling them for $40 a piece, that's the lowest I've seen them.

Though no geese require bathing water, the Sebastopol benefits most from it as their curly feathers often drag the ground and become soiled without bathing water. They appear to have originated in southeastern Europe.

Sebs do not sell for under $40 as a gosling unless they are to family or friends. They are hard to hatch, and rare to begin with.

Thanks for the input. He is asking 45.00 each and they are from a line of show quality birds. I think I know what I'll be doing tomorrow, lol.
