This, but this winter I'm using the canned chicken and stock in the pantry from my chickens. I'll add the toasted pho spices when I have it on the stove. The one restaurant here that sells pho tastes like dirty dishwater so I make it at home. Never had it growing up, but it's amazing.

Chicken noodle soup. No special recipe. I make the stock from Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys and freeze it in 3 cup containers. I cut up carrots and celery and throw in any other vegetable I may have on hand. I like adding peas but don’t always have them. Extra wide noodles. The only thing that would be a “secret ingredient” is the juice I save when I bake chicken thighs in the oven. I just pour it into a container and freeze it and add more the next time I make chicken thighs. (That’s about the only chicken I buy unless I buy a whole chicken.)
