Hello everyone! We are from upstate New York and are interested in better laying chickens. We have a Rooster and 2 momma hens currently. Where can I go to look up and find local chicken breeders near me? These threads are kind of confusing.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you joined the flock! I would look up Black Australorps, Sexlinks, or Rhode Island Reds on Craigslist.
 
Hi and welcome to BYC. In addition to birdbrain's suggestion, you could always try your state thread (just type your state in the search box) as members close to you may be able to point you in the right direction.

Nice to meet you Justin, glad you joined us at Backyard chickens. If you put your state name in the search box, it will pop up. That way you will find chickens folks that live around you.

Thanks everyone! You are all so nice and welcoming! I appreciate that and I will do that now! I will post pictures of my coop I made and my three wonderful silkies! Just a FYI my silkies act just like dog's. It's weird!
