Fairly new chicken owner

i started out with 9 only 1 day old when i got them. My sonin law built me a beautiful brewder & i had a great time with the babies. My 2 son's then built me a wonderful 8x10 chicken coop & a 13 x 40 run for them including a free standing roof to give them a place to be outside but out of the sun rain & elements if they so choose. During the first year i would let them free range but lost 6 in a few months to preditors & a fox that i am still trying to catch. This year i bought 3 new babies & again had fun getting them old enough to join my older girls. Learning fast about chickens & have a few questions for later.

I resqued 6 chickens & were tod only 1 rooster & he was gunna be detroyed. I felt bad & took the rooster & gave him to another person who have chickens &!also gave him a hen figuring i got 4 eight month old hens soon to br laying eggs. Within a few weeks i realized i had 3 more roosters & my yard was very noisy esp in the morning. I did not want roosters so i sold them at a local co-op. Hope they got good homes. I brought home 4 hens. Will people sell them damaged or sick. First time buying
