Fairy egg!

Got our first fairy egg today! Our 9 month RIR Dionne laid it. So tiny and cute! I think I'm going to blow it and keep the shell. Almost a perfect sphere!

Okay, I'm weirded out! The "fairy egg" had a tiny lil' yolk! I used a syringe to empty the insides, and out came some yellow!

With my in-town flock there was at least one fairy egg that was a perfect miniature egg in exact proportion with a mini-yolk.

Got our first one a couple weeks back.. bantam fairy egg, about the size of a nickel!!
The top is a store large egg, middle is the usual bantam egg, and the teenie tiny fairy egg. It also had a yolk! Should have cooked it up!

Once we had a bantam that laid a fairy egg twice with a tiny yolk. It was so cute

I have seen them with multiple yolks. As many as 3.

Fairy eggs never get old! Every time I come across one I am as equally as excited as the first time..I’m kinda of corny like that though!
