Hi there,
I have 4 RIRs who are a 14 months old. They have all been steadily laying regular sized eggs since last October. In June we added 4 EE pullets to the flock. The EEs are currently 14 weeks old, but we added them all together (under a very watchful eye) to the flock around 8 weeks.
Everyone has, for the most part, gotten along. The EEs are thriving and the RIRs seem to be doing well - continuing to lay as normal...Until this week.
We have gotten 3 fairy eggs the last 3 days. I think the EEs are way too young to be doing this, so I am thinking it's one of my RIRs. About three weeks ago we got them a new hen house so that might be the cause of the stress - other than that there has been nothing different. - They were all laying just fine up until 3 days ago, so I am not sure the house is the issue either.
Any ideas?
