I saw this since it's local news here (hiding face in shame). I think some education is in order for the mother. Do they have any proof that the girl was actually in the tanning bed with her mom? Doesn't sound like it. Sounds more like a misunderstanding by the teacher who thinks the mom is a nut case since she is rocking the Oompa Loompa look (this is actually a popular look to rock by some here in the garden state). It doesn't seem like they actually have any proof. I'm doubtful that this case will go very far.

Yeah, I was looking at her and thinking, "she looks like that at 44? Honey, I think you need to quit baking, you're done already!"

But redheads are notorious for the way they sunburn, I can't believe the mother hasn't noticed it by now. I also have trouble believing that this has gone so far as to have a court date!

I saw the woman on TV. That's the mother?? She looks like she could easily pass for 64 rather than her supposed age of 44. She looks like the kid's grandmother. Sad that she can't see what she's done to herself.

I kind of doubt she will get in any trouble. Just seems like it would be too hard to prove. Hopefully all the media attention will scare her straight, make her think twice about passing her addictions down to her children.

It is doubtful that her daughter ever entered the tanning booth, but Mom has done a number on herself. "Like an old baseball mitt" is the best description.
