Fake Egg Missing

I have been wondering if maybe could be a lizard. I put in an egg to see if it would get taken. It has been in the nest for three days and hasn't gone missing and none of the new eggs have gone missing either. Maybe the snake really did take care of itself.

Sounds like a Rat Snake. It will be back. It will probably just regurgitate the fake egg.

My thought too was possibly a snake.

Probably the reason it hasn't been back is it isn't hungry if it's eaten several eggs. I think they only eat about once a week.
