Fake grass question...

Read this before you decide. It seems that artificial grass fields are heat sinks. Municipalities that have installed it on athletic fields are considering pulling it up.

We have so many things covering up the earth as it is (pavement, buildings, sidewalks) that I just do not see how putting down something so unnecessary is ecologically sound.

The town that I do most of my shopping in is having a very heated debate over putting this stuff down on their football field, seems the school district want to spend 2 million on this and the taxpayers are really heated up.

I say no after just hearing about the lead and the bio hazard it is.
