Fake plants for quail

So, currently I'm using fake plants in my button quail enclosure to make it more natural but every time I give them lettuce or other vegetables they just nibble on it without eating it probably because of the fake plants they are used to is there anything I can do about that?

If they're nibbling on it, they know it's edible. It's okay if they don't over indulge in treats. You just want to try offering different things until you find something they like.
