I know this is a very old thread, but one of my ducks is going to be euthanized and I asked the vet if there was as sedative I could give him before taking him to the vet's as I didn't want his last hour to be so frightened (riding in car, being at vet) and said to give him 30 mg of acetaminophen, saying that it is sedating to ducks. I'm not finding anything about this online, and worried that it won't work. Do you by any chance recall if your duck was at all sedated by the 50mg that you gave him?
