Our towns 154th Fall Fair is over. Here are the results...

Lucky (AOV booted bantam hen) 2nd place out of 16 birds

Miss Ohio (silkie hen) 1st place out of 12 birds

Miss Sippy (silkie hen) 3rd place out of 12 birds

Chinook (silkie pullet) 1st place out of 5 birds

Snowball (silkie pullet) 2nd place out of 5 birds

Lacy (golden sebright hen) 2nd place out of 9 birds

I think we did pretty good this year. I am an associate director of the poultry commitee & not only were the number of birds entered this year up(over 500), so was the quality.

Little Chicken, that is awesome! What fun! If I were motivated enough (and I might be) what would I have to do to start a fall fair? I remember them from when I was a kid, and I want my kids to experience it! Who can I talk to in my town? Who's ear can I bother about this?
