If you can get it to bulb, it looks like a fat celery stalk. You can just dip it in ranch dressing as part of a veggie tray. I also use the leaves, it looks like dill, so I put it in potato salads and such. I also use it in soups as well. I made a pot pie with it the other day. Mix it with sage and you give your meat recipes an italian sausage type flavor. Its very flexible, and it all freezes well. (The seeds are a spice too!) In the south, if you don't harvest the bulb, it will come back with new shoots and be a perennial plant!
