Yep barred babies, I've got one more little fella to go & it's already very well externally pipped! My 2nd one to hatch is a little weak so I'm worried about it but hopefully it's just wore out from hatching...think I'll go get some pics real quick

I now have 3 blue partridge showgirl chicks hatched! I'm in the process of posting pics but that makes my November 1st hatch complete! Of 4 chicks on lockdown, 3 showgirls hatched & 1 fully developed silkie suffocated in its shell from being at the wrong end so I still consider it a success! So for those of you with completed hatches, what were your end results (amount, color, breed)?

I swear one of my chicks was trying to crow this morning and roosting!? 3 days old!

Let's see on the end results. I'll start with my own eggs.

Set 2 Speckled Sussex - hatched 2
Set 4 Golden Cuckoo Marans - hatched 2, 1 stopped midway and one died in the shell. It had pipped and after awhile and I tried to help it but something was seriously wrong with it.

Shipped eggs.

13 BBS Marans eggs shipped form Texas. 12 made it. 6 were still clear at day 10. 6 went to lockdowm. 5 hatched. 3 Splash & 2 Blue.

8 BBS Marans shipped from Kentucky. 7 made it. 1 was clear at day 10. 6 made it to lockdown. 4 hatched. 1 Splash, 2 Blue & 2 Black.

Here's how the coloring works!

Blue X Blue = 50% Blue, 25% Black, 25% Splash
Blue X Splash = 50% Blue, 50% Splash
Splash X Splash = 100% Splash
Splash X Black = 100% Blue
Blue X Black = 50% Blue, 50% Black
Black X Black = 100% Black

I have another shipment coming from Kentucky, should be here Monday or Tuesday!!

No need to worry! Im preped and ready to post pics! Found out one was rotten last night it had a half formed rotten baby in it when I cracked it open.... It was soooooooo sad!

but im hopeing/praying that they all hatch!

So I know alot of us have more eggs in the bator right now....

When are your hatch dates???

My eggs that I have in there now are due on November 23rd. And the ones being shipped should be around the 28th. After that I will be done till the spring!!
