I only started elk hunting last year, and came home empty handed, but I had elk in my cross hairs my first time out so I call that a successful hunt!

Here are a few pics of years past, just along for the camping with DH and his family:

Glad to see another bear hunter here. I'm mostly training dogs this year. One is coming along nicely.

yeah, a yearling who walked within 10' of me. Wear gloves back in '05 - '09 because of the TB issues. Till I checked the lungs, I wore gloves.
