Fallen deep into a funk....possible cervical cancer....UPDATE

A little bit of good news...

I went for my 6 week checkup today and was discussing with my doc about the insurance thing and how upset I am.

He felt bad for me, so he sneakily pushed me in for tomorrow!!
He said he was upset that his patients were not happy and he scheduled me anyway, lol!

Yay! I'm getting my tubes tied tomorrow!!

I would say PPD also, and it feels crushing. I have had it too. Its the worst feeling in the world, just about. And it feels soooo REAL. Not that it's not real, but it is chemically induced, so in essence, if you can get the chemicals under control that's causing it, then you will see a tremendous difference in your ability to cope with life, and that huge black cloud that is getting in the way of your thought processes, and emotional normalcy will lift. The difference is amazing.

If you're absolutely against medication, perhaps there is an herbal supplement that you can take, that would help somewhat. I know that PPD can be drastically affected by hormones levels, so there could be possibly be an herbal, or natural remedy out there to help correct the imbalance.

Take care of yourself, and we love you!!

Got a call from doctors office today....

When I first when in to start my prenatal care, they noticed something abnormal on my cervix..well, they did my colposcopy at my 6 week and it came back abnormal...highly abnormal.

So, they are having me come in for a LEEP procedure to remove that part of my cervix.
I had a cone biopsy several years back and I was in extreme pain for several weeks afterwards.

Has anyone here had either of those? Does the pain compare to one another?
I'm curious if I will be in the same pain with the LEEP as I was with the cone biopsy....

Oh man I'm sorry to hear that.. you will be in my prayers.. I'm sorry I dont know anything about the procedures but hopefully it will be less painful.

I haven't any personal experience with that, but I know that if you make sure Dr. knows you had severe pain last time, he'll be prepared to manage pain with this.

I'm in Lawrence and am super resourceful- I just got out of the free clinic industry and still have lots of connections and info regarding places to go for cheap or free in the area- please don't hesitate to PM me if you need something ASAP- I'll get on it.

I've had lots of experience with post-partum depression, and also know that it can just trigger a funk that seems like you ought to be able to slip out of it, but when you can't, you beat yourself up about it- and when other very real struggles exist, it can seem overwhelming.

I encourage you to keep talking to anyone who will listen and especially share this funkiness with the Dr.- even if that's not why you're going in to see him, and they want to schedule a different appointment for every little thing, you MUST take advantage of the insurance now- and get him to write a 90 day script- the ins should cover that!!

Keep your chin up and remember you can eat an elephant one bite at a time!!

I have had 2 LEEP procedures done! They don't hurt to much cause they knock you out or give you local. IT IS MANDATORY you don't wait!!!! This abnormal tissue is caused by pre cancerous cells in the cervix. It is passed through sex. Yeah, i know....nobody want's to hear that but it's true!
They put it in that class but it's not like some HOLY CRAPPING OH MY GOD I GOT WHAT disease. It is vey common and treatable when detected early. My BFF was stage 3 when i made her go to the GYN. Stage 4 is CANCER so don't beat around the bush.....

Also i had PPD, they also found out the the major reason was THYROID! I had been on Anti depressants and went off, got thyroid under control and feel really good! I as well could not get out of bed!

And for the money issues....all that matters is YOUR HEALTH!! The rest is just material things and they can go! Your family needs you and not a car!!!
We are going through the same thing but i will not let it get me down! My kids have no clue, and life goes on.....

Stay postitive and know that we are all here for you! It is also very important to talk about it! holding it in will make it worse
