Fallen leaves

So I was all exited to put the fall leaves into my coop an run but found that our maples, which are mostly what we have around, have this fungus called black tar this year. Does anyone know if those will be ok to use around our little feathered friends?

I have used such leaves in coop and run in the past. Has not presented a problem.
