We just installed the fan in our lg bator, but it is kinda noisy. Is that normal? The fan itself is not noisy, only after it was installed. We used drywall screws and small plastic tubing for spacers. The screws just fit in the tube. Just wanted to know if it is ok that it is noisy, & if anyone elses was. DH adjusted the screws and the tubes fit tight.

The fan is about 1/2" from the top of the lid. We used clear plastic tubing about 1/8" or so, for the spacers. Screws fit nicely into the tube.

The fan was quiet, almost silent before we installed it. It's ok. Maybe after it runs awhile it will quiet down. Thanks for the imput!
Hope your little one that had the bath is gonna be ok.

You've had quite an emotional ride the last couple of days!

Your welcome

Yeah, I hope he does, I just can't seem to make myself go to bed, and I really need to. Just so worried!! I think he will be fine and I wouldn't worry so much if he wasn't so small, he seems to be the smallest of all of them, maybe because his feathers never fluffed out. I dunno.

Good luck with the fan, it really helped me get my temps regulated and the humidity right.

I got a pc fan sitting at an angle in my little giant styrofoam bator and it's a little noisy...not too bad or enough to warrant me removing it...

I put a used pc fan in mine and it was noisy too. When not mounted it was whisper quite, but had a hum when mounted. I just thought it was making a vibration with the incubator case. It worked fine until the first day of lock down then it died. Not sure if the heat killed it, the vibration or both. I will have to wait till the hatch is over to check it out.
