It's been hot and humid around here lately, and I have fans on the chickens to help them deal with the heat. I have a broody hen right now, and I was wondering of it's okay to have a fan directly on her or if I should have it blowing air past her. I'd guess it's pretty hot in a nesting box, but I don t want to harm her or the eggs.

I direct my fans to blow towards the ceiling over the broody hen. Heat rises and gets trapped on the ceiling. This helps keep the air moving along.
