Yes now you understand
I know how cute and pretty those up north and back east are. They look as good as some folks actual houses but you just can't do that here. Having said that. it does not mean that you can't have a cute, fun, pretty, AND healthy place for them right here in the desert. I actually have a little town including a stable (which is where the roosts and egg boxes are) a jail, a merchantile, and a town hall. The last three are actually all one big run with different faces on them to make it look separate.
These are pics from when we were still building it. I have to take new pics so that you don't think I have all that debris laying around my yard. LOL When I took these pics I had to take them in two shots so my sister in Texas could see the whole thing.
Where you see the little jail and Merchantile is wire on top behind those fronts. The metal door has since been replaced and there is another door on the clock tower too. I will try to take some finished pics to show.
