Fantail?

I have been raising pigeons for a long time and have recently come across a problem.All I raise for the last ten years are pure bred American fantails and the last season of young hatched are all great except for one.This one bird won't or can't hold her tail up all the way.Does anyone know why this would happen?

A simple explanation is; You never know what you will get when you dive into the gene pool.

I think I have solved the mystery! I bought 2 pairs of fantails last fall and they had been kept with other breeds, the seller said they were pure bred but obviously there was some hanky panky going on between breeds..So I will find good homes for the mixed breeds and next time I'll listen to my instincts,,lesson learned!
