I love doves and pigeons! I used to have doves as a kid and really enjoyed them.

We had these in France! Pigeon is considered a delicacy there.

The fantails are pretty, agreed!

My French host family ate theirs in the traditional manner: with little peas.

I imagine they make as good of pets as they do dinner.

Pigeon is my trump card when people get into the "weirdest thing I ever ate" contests. Americans can only picture nasty pigeons in parks that are missing toes and eating garbage.
