(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I grew up on a farm in Central Missouri, but this is my first suburban flock.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Watching my kids and dogs "baby" the chicks. My American Eskimo is particularly fond of checking in on the ladies every morning and every night.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I garden, read, restore historic houses and antiques, hike, and plan activities with my kids.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a divorced mother of two kids, four dogs, two cats, and now four chickens. I own a construction company, which is every little girl's dream...right?
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
My city recommended joining a club when I applied for my backyard permit.
