I have done about 3-4 hatches in this hand turn incubator, and would like to give some tips on my experience.
You see below I had taped down the clear part of the lid on top, it was not fully down and I saw some gaps. my first hatch was not taped down and didn't go as well.
Also in the pic you see I have in one red plug, I have tried one hatch with the plugs in and one fully out the whole time. Now I like one in till the 2 week, then both out.
Looking at the readings on the outside lid it says 100 degrees and 30% humidity But the inside says 100 degrees and 55% humidity. I have noticed if you keep trying to adjust to what the outside lid says it makes the inside too humid. I have kept just one tray full during most of the hatch. Only use the inner trays, the outer trays have air holes. The incubator works best on a flat table. There are airholes under incubator that get plugged up if sitting on a rug.
Below is a good kind of thermometer to use inside because of both readings.
.
The heat comes off the lid and it gets hot right under I place the eggs so none are directly under the heat. I also try not to let eggs touch the edges of the incubator. The wire under the eggs may cause the eggs to roll. You can put things around the eggs to keep them from rolling. During hatching I put down paper towels so they do not stick to the wire. Also it says you can have up to 48 eggs in here. I say in this case the fewer the merrier.
