Farm Innovators Incubator Alert

Just a heads up…bought a farm innovators brand incubator and egg turner recently. The thermometer that came with it is mismarked. Last time I checked, 99.5 degrees was less than 100 not more than 100. Be careful and pay attention….so far our unit is pretty erratic with temperature stabilization and the thermometer is obviously not printed correctly. If these eggs don’t hatch, this thing will get returned.

Most of us buy Govee or another brand of hygrometer/thermometers, as incubators are rarely correct. I have several of them for incubators and brooders.

Thanks, I’ll look into those. This is our first attempt at hatching our own, and I expected the temp to not match the digital display. I didn’t expect the unit to fluctuate a couple degrees though, but maybe that normal operation? I know there are a lot of people out there buying chicks and eggs right now because of egg supply problems and didn’t want anyone to have a costly mistake because of the QA inadequacies of the incubating company.

@Debbie292d are you putting the Govee in with the egg turner? Can you please send me a link to what you use? I need to upgrade I think.

Chickens don't run consistent temps, your eggs will be fine.
