Hey there. I have a couple of 6 week old SL Wyandotte chicks. They were supposed to be pullets, bought from Runnings. I know it’s pretty common to end up with cockerels when buying from a farm store. I won’t be too upset, but I did already end up with one roo for certain, so someone’s going to have to be rehomed (although I do have a brooder full of bantam babies right now, 2 of which possibly roo, so a bachelor coop may be in order). The past couple of weeks or so, one of these chicks has me wondering. I’m not experienced at all with sexing, but their combs and wattles look different from each other. I didn’t get good pics of the feathers and body unfortunately, but what do you think?

Okay so two birds of the same breed can have different comb types? I’m such a newbie, I assumed that it was an indication of a different sex lol
