For live catches, I've only seen my flock with small snakes. I have no photos of that because snakes freak me out so much I'm usually having a fit as far away from the action as possible. We only have the "good" kind of snakes here.

I wish the hens would take care of the gophers. Maybe I need some Shamo on patrol.
 
Off topic a bit , sorry. Just wanted to add our Gardner snakes eat slugs. :yesss: lots of slugs! That howling wolf mouse link is cool! And thanks for all the mouse catcher pics, too!

With my birds,,, if they can catch it,, they will. And then happily devour it. Field mice, gophers, rats, even large garter snakes. Even our cats give the girls a wide berth
