This maybe long so I’m sorry in advance. So on March 4th, hubby took the kids to school and seen momma (name trail) and my boar (named Chase) having a great time. Fast forward her due date was yesterday. This is her second litter, her first litter she did not have milk, or show any signs until I walked out and found 2 piglets. She had a total of 5. Her last piglet she pushed out exactly 24 hours later after the last piglet. Fast forward to now. Momma is 3x bigger. Well 3 days ago I moved trail to her farrowing area. I noticed she was just being fussy with other pigs, and laying around a lot. So I moved her. Well yesterday she started nest building, and day before yesterday she didn’t eat as much as she normally does. Today she’s just been snacking and she only gets up to pee and poop. And to move to a new spot to lay down. Her vulva was huge!!! With her coloring it’s hard to see if her vulva can be red. Well this morning I went to check on her, and her vulva looked ashy, and about 2 pm today she started back up with her deep breathing again, and getting up and back down. She has had horrible gas all day! About 3 hours ago I got actual milk from her, does anyone thing she will farrow tonight? And should I keep checking on her every hour like I have been or do you think she won’t farrow until tomorrow. She’s very spoiled rotten, like when I go out there she will jump up and lay on my lap now and I have to call my husband to help me get up. The last time she farrowed, she plopped her butt on my lap and pushed out the rest of the piglets everytime. Even the one 24 hours later.
