fart eggs

Have a pretty mature flock-youngest hens are about 18 months old, oldest 4 yrs old. Got my first fart egg today...any concerns? Thinking it was a misstep for one of them...thoughts?

They happen occasionally, they are nothing to be concerned with.

No a "fart egg" is basically the second egg laid in a 24 hour period. It has no yolk or is only yolk. If I'm correct

Wow interesting! I've had chickens for over a year now & no fart eggs. But I've heard them fart!! Thanks for the clarification!!

One of my year olds layed a fart egg a few weeks ago. It was a first for me too, I blamed it on stress. My daughter had a birthday party and they got more attention than normal. Then surprise! Fart egg here's a pic of one of her normal eggs as comparison
