Farting/pooping chick

When ever i pick up my EE chick she either farts or poops on me as a defense mechanism. Will she grow out of this? or will I have a bird that farts/poos everytime i pick her up?

My chickens fart/poo on me all the time. Gross of course, but everything can be washed. I figure it's just a matter of us scaring them a bit when we handle them. Kinda like some people have stress incontinence... chickens have stress poos... I think. Could be wrong though.

thats hilarious!!! omg lol an incontinent chicken! lol it sounds about right though....she is the most jumpy chick! she thinks my hand is monster! lol

sorry that made me laugh ! i guess when you are that small it must be a bit scarey to have a great big hand come out of no where and snatch you up ......... a great big huge head with big round eyes and a gigantic mouth gaping at you

if i was a itty bitty chick id poo too

( i say that as i hastily glance up)

they just seem to poop all the time. This my first time with chicks. I have 3 about 7 weeks and 5 EE that are week old. they just poop all the time. We always hold with towel or paper towel now.
