Farwest Hatchery

Has anyone here ordered from Farwest Hatchery in Canby, Oregon? They've not answered my e-mail so I'm wondering about their service. They're close and list what I want to order but........?

Also, Dunlap Hatchery in Idaho? I can't get their website to come up today. Any Idea about them?

I met this guy at the State Fair. He had a nice display of chicks and chicken keeping. I talked to him for a long time and he seemed to be very knowledgeable and caring. Their list of breeds available is amazing but I'm not sure what level of production they are at. I got the feeling it was a start-up operation. I emailed them late last year and I do have a response back with phone numbers. If you pm me I can give you the info. With other Oregon hatcheries going out of business I have to wonder what's happening to these guys.

And come join us over at the Canby swap thread! There are a lot of wonderful chicken people in Oregon and Washington who nice have birds, not at hatchery volumes, but someone might have something you like. Besides, we're just a fun group!

Good! I might have to get on there and get something myself. With them being so close it'll be nice to pick up the chicks and not have to worry about the mail. But do make sure you go over to the Canby Swap thread and say 'hi'. There's lots more stuff than just chickens too!
