fat chickens!!

I just got 6 chickens from a friend, and they are so fat they can hardly walk, they lay to eat and drink....they are very large
I thought they were leghorns, but not sure, I am new to this,can someone please help me out, I have hung up some green a little high so that they will have to stand up and reach for them or jump, but they just lay there and look at them????? any suggestions will help. Thank you Anji

They sound like cornish cross meat chickens. Maybe you can post a picture after you post a few more times and someone can help you ID them for sure.

Yeah almost surely Cornish cross. Leghorns are very slender. Sometimes I wonder how my little white leghorn can produce such a gigantic egg. One thing to note is Cornish cross seldom live much past a year old and I hear they virtually never lay eggs. If you wanted chicken for eggs you will need to find a new breed.

No, I have 10 of my own, they are in there coop/run, I separated them... Mine are much smaller, and I have 1 leghorn, and yes she is much more sleek, 1 quarter there size...lol Thank ya'll very much.....
