Seems like a one in a lifetime event..should have kept the evidence. Ah well, life goes on for the rest of us. And on and on

I think a cat may have picked it up from somewhere and ended up dumping it because it was no fun to torture and then eat it. People are here are always saying their cat brought a chick or wild bird over and got bored & left it.

A bit odd to find it in a nest box though. And we don't have a neighborhood cat that I know of
