I have a few roos that I absolutely love and have received free passes from freezer camp. They all live together separate from my hens and have access to free choice feed and table scraps. They get the layer crumbles but one 3 year old is getting skinny so I added corn too. I was wondering if I could add the meat bird crumbles our would that be unhealthy for them since I want them to live as long as possible? Last winter I brought him in the house because the same thing happened but I can't this time. I guess I don't really know much about feeding chickens, I always thought it was simple till I started reading through this site.
