Just had a quick question - the fella I bought my Faverolle from assured me that she was laying - the Leghorn X Arucanna I purchased from him laid two days after but my Faverolle has not laid at all.
Since having her (two weeks) she's put on quite a bit of weight... She will sit in the nesting box for hours sometimes but no eggs
I'm currently feeding her layers pellets mixed with about a dessert spoon of mixed corn mixed with a tiny bit of oyster shells.
Any idea what I could do to speed up the process? She's absolutely adorable and we all want an egg from her!

Many birds take a break from laying after being moved to a new home. I may vary from a matter of days to a matter of months.
