My favortie chicken breed has to be the Turken. Here are some i use to have.e

My favorite is the barred rock. Sadly they are not the brightest chickens in the coop (two fell of the roost and broke their necks) but the lay lots of eggs and are friendly towards people.

I love our Barred Rock Rooster, Rocky. He is so friendly that we can pick him up. He is also more gentle with his hens than some of the other roosters we have had. I hope that as he matures (he is only 9 months old) that he keeps his good disposition.

I like barred rocks as well. I have one in my flock. So I know what you mean with them not being the smartest chicken in the coop.
