more often IDEAL. for one thing its a bit closer than ones in midwest. The ones closer and esp. in CA where i live dont have the breeds i am interested in.
as for breeds.....always a whim. i got into fancy breeds at first. i have many kinds here. now i am leaning towards the good ol standards....i actually bought two sex links a couple years ago..this year i got an australorp and barred rock...just regular ol chickens! 1/2 my flock are bantams.
