And, what color eggs does she lay?
Oh, beat me to it.Are the bottoms of her feet white or yellow?
Also, where did you get her?
And as far as I know, she hasn't laid any eggs yet. She came around oct 14.Her feet are yellow, and she showed up at a friend of mines house, she had her for several months, and then messaged me to see if I knew anybody that wanted a chicken. I said duh, u know I doas long as it's a hen and not a rooster. We have one rooster, scooter, and he is a Cochin banty, I think, and he only has one eye, and I can't let anybody be mean to him. So hen only. And she brought her to me that night, while we were outside trying to catch Lillie and her 9 babies that were only a day or 2 old.
Only took us like 15 hours to catch em all, and I only suffered one almost black eye or cracked cheek bone.
Sorry, I get a little excited talking about em all, and sometimes I can't stop it lol
it just leaks out. All my non-chicken friends don't understand it.
Maybe I just need new friends.

Ok, so I am going to say Blue Jersey Giant. They tend to lay pale to dark large brown eggs, mine frequently have darker brown specks. I once got a really weird looking egg… it was a normal egg but with white on the ends. Let me know if you want to see a picture of it. Jersey Giants are my personal favorite breed so far, they are such a joy! I especially love the blue color. And you are right, she is gorgeous!
Isnt she?!? And she's so sweet. How do I tell if she's jersey giant or sapphire gem? Do I have to wait till she lays an egg?Ok, so I am going to say Blue Jersey Giant. How do I tell the difference between the jersey giant and the sapphire gem? She's not huge, she's bigger than our leghorn hen, but I wouldn't call her giant. She's normal.More likely a Sapphire Gem -- they're much more common and thus more likely to be randomly available.
Unless she grows up to be absolutely huge, in which case she might be a JG.![]()
