Favorite Country song

I am also old country, can not stand the new songs and stopped listening to it 10 years ago.Too much screaming .
Can't name a favorite song as there's many .Keith Whitley,George Strait,Tanya,Jim Reeves,Don Williams and let's not forget Vern Gosden.Merle Haggard is right up there also

"Where the green grass grows" by Tim McGraw and "Amarillo Sky" by Jason Aldean. Forgot who sang it but the song about "We meet in the middle" is awsome. There are tons of others but I can't think of them right now.

Emerson Drive - Moments
Tracy Lawrence- Paint me a Birmingham
Brookes and Dunn - Believe
Lori Morgan- I'll take the Memories and His Last Good Bye
Alanis Morriset- The hidden track at the end of one of her Cd's
Allison Krauss- Down to the River to Pray
Blake Shelton - The Baby

"Cluck Old Hen", of course!

I love Allison Krauss ,I could listen to her sing all day.Have you heard her sing " Carolina on my mind" not that James Taylor isn't great.

My current favorite (I say "current" because I have a new favorite about every week) is "Don't Take The Girl" by Tim McGraw. Other favorites are "Tomorrow" by Chris Young, "Wild One" by Faith Hill, and "She's In Love With the Boy" by Trisha Yearwood.
Of course, don't get me started on Carrie Underwood.

I was just singing that one yesterday (with my Christmas guitar!), trying to remember all the verses. ;)

About the first music I remember liking was Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash on the 8-track player in my Daddy's Delta 88. Good times...

First thing I remember knowing was a lonesome whistle blowing and a young un's dream of growing up to ride .On a freight train leaving town not knowing where I'm bound. No one could stir me right but Mama tried. Poor ole father rest his soul left my mom a heavy load, she tried so very hard to fill his shoes.working hours without rest wanted me to have the best .She tried so very hard but I refused.I turned 21 in prison doing life without parole,no one could stir me right but mama tried .Mama tried to raise me better but her pleading I denied ,that leaves only me to blame cause mama tried.
Ok now I am hitting on a blank :)
last part though missing the beginning
Despite all my Sunday learning towards the bad I kept on turning ,til Mama couldn't hold me anymore.I turned 21 in prison ...........
Ok the best bet is go to youtube ,just remember Karen tried :)
