Favorite (how dare I say it!) chick!?

She looks so sweet how old is she?

She's 4, but a production layer (Isa Brown). Shes stopped laying and just living out her days comfortably.
We purchased 4 of them. Lost 2 at day 2 to I don't know what. Then a coon got her remaining hatch mate so she stayed with us in the house for a couple weeks just to have company. Then I picked up 8 mixed breeds for friends and chicken math exploded from there...

So sweet! I’ve already decided that even after my girls stop laying they will remain with us until they pass on their own and also… I’m scared of chicken math

Okay that is the cutest Dorothy seems to be the only one who likes me currently so I don’t feel too bad either haha

I have a hen named Dorothy as well! She’s not mean but only likes me when I have food.

Welllll maybe that’s why my Dorothy loves me so much haha. I make her wet mash twice a day because of her beak so she might actually only like me for food

TBH, right now my favorite is Rojo, my BOX rooster.

His girls are crazy about him. He is respectful of me and maybe even a little scared of me; at least, he always steps aside for me. He is a big, beautiful, majestic bird who takes good care of his ladies. I quite like him.
ETA He is everything a good rooster should be. He could write a book about Good Roostering. Maybe someday he will.

Thank you. His full name is Rojo el Magnifico. He told me so himself. Yeah, he's a little arrogant, but we don't mind because he's kind. (I edited my post a little).
